Prisoners are permitted access to religious literature such as a Bible, Qur'an, etc. Effective 1/26/12 the Hamilton County jails will accept such items in soft bound covers only.

Identification issued for Transforming Jail Ministries programs will now expire 2 years from the date of the approved background check. (This is a change from 2 years after the date of issue that has been the policy.)  This is by order the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department and is effective immediately.  Current active identification will expire according to the date on the front of the identification.
