TJM Board President, Charlene Calhoun, has been a Jail Chaplain in Hamilton County since 1982.  She holds an Associates Degree in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati and retired as a Research Chemist from Procter & Gamble in 2007 after 27 years of service.  Charlene has been a volunteer chaplain with University Hospital since 1985 and was a Team Leader for CBC foreign mission team in Haiti from 1997 to 2014.  She is a volunteer with the Avondale Community Watch Program.  Charlene is a founding member of Transforming Jail Ministries.

TJM Treasurer, Mike Ehrensberger, is president of Leveraged Solutions, Inc., a Cincinnati based consulting company focused on the training and development of sales professionals. He has been an active supporter of TJM since its founding. Mike, a life-long resident of Cincinnati, is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and has a Bachelor of Science degree and MBA degree from the University of Cincinnati. He brings a wealth of business and management experience to our board that we feel is needed as TJM moves beyond the founding stage of our ministry.

TJM Board Vice President, Dryden Jones served as a worship team member for many years and as a jail chaplain in Hamilton County since 2008.  His focus is application of scripture  to men's recovery processes. Dryden has worked in the healthcare field for 20 years and for over 10 years with Xavier University. He holds a BA degree from Rollins College and an MBA from Xavier. He currently is a business manager with Cincinnati State Technical and Community College where he has also served as adjunct faculty since 1993. He and his wife Wendy attend Sonrise Church and have 4 children and 4 grandchildren.

The Secretart of the TJM Board, Howard E. Martin, Jr. worked for 33 years at WKRC retiring as Chief Engineer in 2004. He served as a volunteer jail chaplain for 15 years and helped trained other volunteers in the jail chaplaincy during this time. In 2001, he was instrumental in making it possible to broadcast the Billy Graham Mission to prisoners in Hamilton County.  Howard also serves as the Children's Church Pastor at First Baptist Church of London, Ohio. He, and his wife Ida, have 2 children.

TJM Board Member, Andrew R. Lewis (PhD.), is a member of Christ the King Church Uptown along with his wife and children. He is currently Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Cincinnati where he teaches courses on the intersection of Constitutional Law, Rights Politics, and American Institutions. He holds a BA in History from Truman State University (Kirksville, MO), a MA in Ethics from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC), and a Ph.D. in American Politics, Law, and Society from American University (Washington, DC). He published his first book in 2017, The Rights Turn in Conservative Politics: How Abortion Transformed the Culture Wars through Cambridge University Press. Dr. Andrew R. Lewis joins TJM as a Board Member to help develop meaningful success measures with an added academic background in the study of religious rights. In addition to serving on the Board for TJM, he is the Director of the Legal Studies Certificate at the University of Cincinnati and Book Review Editor for Politics & Religion at Cambridge University Press. Dr. Andrew R. Lewis is a regular contributor to FiveThirtyEight and other media outlets.


TJM Board Member, Brad Weber, has been a volunteer chaplain and worship team member with Transforming Jail Ministries since 2012 and first became involved in jail ministry with the Council on Christian Communities in 1990. Brad gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ in 1983. He is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH. He and his wife have one son and one grandchild. They have attended Imago Dei Christian Fellowship in West Chester, OH for more than 25 years.
